To keep the numbering of podcast episodes consistent with the numbering of text episodes, I’m posting five podcast placeholders, Episodes 68 through 72, from Wednesday, November 17, through Tuesday, November 23. My reading of the Personal History will resume with podcast Episode 73 on Wednesday, November 24. To entertain you during this interval I’m posting a reading of a portion of “The Fox and the Clam”by Bill Cavness on his program “Reading Aloud,” broadcast on WGBH in Boston in 1982 or 1983.
