The advertisements for schemes to raise animals for profit originally appeared in the February 1953 issue of Popular Mechanics magazine. All the other illustrations have been drawn by the author or cobbled together by the author from clip art.
Several of the episodes of Dead Air that are incorporated in Leaving Small’s Hotel were originally published in Exquisite Corpse.
