đ§ 70: A Placeholder
This episode is a placeholder. I didnât post any text episodes of the Personal History from Monday, August 16, through Friday, August 20, while I was preparing the podcast launch. The text episodes that I posted on those days were placeholders, counting down the days until the podcast launch on Monday, August 23. To keep the numbering of podcast episodes consistent with the numbering of text episodes, Iâm posting five podcast placeholders, Episodes 68 through 72, from Wednesday, November 17, through Tuesday, November 23. My reading of the Personal History will resume with podcast Episode 73 on Wednesday, November 24. To entertain you during this interval Iâm posting a reading of a portion of âThe Fox and the Clamâby Bill Cavness on his program âReading Aloud,â broadcast on WGBH in Boston in 1982 or 1983. Here it is.
